New Look to Google Adwords

I noticed that AdWords has quietly released some new changes to the way that AdWords looks.
It looks like they've cleaned up the interface adding tabs to reduce clutter. Everything is on separate tabs. So far it seems pretty cool.

This is what Google says about the changes:

As AdWords has developed more features for advertisers, the Ad Group pages have begun to overflow with data. We've redesigned the page to display more information and present it in a way that's easy to grasp.

These changes do not affect the performance of your ads or of your account. The only change is in the way Ad Group details are displayed to you.

Your account statistic tables are now presented on separate tabs, which can be found along the upper right edge of the table. These are the available tabs:

* Summary displays the performance totals for your Ad Group.
* Keywords shows you how individual keywords are performing, and allows you to add new keywords or edit existing ones. This tab appears only in campaigns with keyword-targeted ads.
* Sites shows you how your ad is performing on individual sites you have selected. You can add new sites or change your bid for existing ones. This tab appears only in campaigns with site-targeted ads.
* Ad Variations displays all the ads you have created for this campaign. You can add, edit or delete ads here.

At any time, you can view the information from all your tabs on a single long page. To do so, click the View all tabs at once link below the display table. To return to the tab view, click Condense tables into tabs.

The date range selection tool for your statistics has also changed significantly. It previously was displayed along the right edge of the table. The date range is now shown along the top left of the table. Click the new Change range link to choose different dates.

You'll also notice changes to these other features on the page:

* The Create New Ad links have been moved to the Ad Variations tabs.
* The Edit Sites and CPMs feature has been renamed Edit Site Settings.
* The keyword tool links, formerly at the top of the table, have been moved to the Keywords tab.
* The Delete Ad Group function has been moved to the pull-down menu on the Summary tab.
* For clarity, the Filter keywords function has been renamed Search this list.

SEO Resources

SEO is an acronym for "search engine optimization". It is the process of analyzing your potential design and problems for search engines indexing and positioning. In other words, making your web site and its content attractive, relevant and visible to search engines and web searchers.

There is nothing worse than having a beautiful web site with excellent written content, though you still lose traffic or you even keep potential visitors away, while your site cannot be found.

Before you begin optimizing your pages for Search Engines, consider that the following search engine optimization techniques are SPAM!

* automatically generated doorway pages
* cloaking and false redirects
* keyword stuffing
* hidden text or hidden links
* pages loaded with irrelevant words
* duplicated content on multiple pages
* misspelling of well-known web sites
* unrelated and centralized link farms
* other methods that try to trick search engines

If you use one of the above techniques, you might get short term results, but it's most likely that your site will be banned from search engines, and therefore you will put your business at severe risk.

You will have more success, if you will optimize your site for humans, and not machines.

Good luck with Search Engine Optimization,

Microsoft's new Windows Live IM service

Microsoft releases new Windows Live IM service

Microsoft Corp. launched on Monday its newly branded instant messaging system, Windows Live Messenger, the first major release in a wave of online services Microsoft plans to offer to grab a larger share of Web advertising revenue. Windows Live Messenger builds on top of Microsoft's MSN Messenger -- used by 240 million people worldwide -- and offers free PC-to-PC calls, inexpensive calls to ordinary phones from the PC and video conferencing using Web cameras.

Trademark issue

Advertising: Trademark infringement suit hits search again

A Colorado-based dating Web site has sued Yahoo and three other companies for allegedly paying to have their ads come up when its name is typed into the Google search page.

"Defendants' willful insertion of plaintiff's trademark into paid advertisements constitutes an effort to artificially inflate their profits by knowingly misleading consumers as to the source of the response to their search," the lawsuit said. "It has caused, and continues to cause, actual confusion, is tarnishing the goodwill and reputation of plaintiff, and is causing lost sales."

Google Gbuy

Hi Friends,

Google was going to launch a online payment system "Gbuy".
Google planning to launch Gbuy on june 28th.

On its core search results pages, Google will designate each merchant accepting GBuy as a "trusted GBuy merchant." If consumers view this as a mark of safety and security, this should increase click-through rate.

GBuy looks to be a direct competitor to PayPal's "off-eBay (nasdaq: EBAY - news - people )" initiative, which is still early in its development. During the beta phase, Google will not charge merchants for its payment service. After some period, the analyst believes Google will charge 1.5% to 2%, in-line to slightly below that of PayPal.

Amar

Microsoft’s Cleartype for Windows XP

Recently I read about Microsoft’s Cleartype . I used it. It really worth using it, especially on your laptops.

With Windows XP, ClearType delivers improved font display quality over traditional forms of font smoothing or anti-aliasing. ClearType improves readability on color LCD displays with a digital interface, such as those in laptops and high-quality flat panel displays. Readability on CRT screens can also be somewhat improved.

You can download it here .
